Someone needs to have a sweeper once per month one night during the week. Like a Wednesday or Thursday night starting at 10:00 pm. Oasis has no league on Wednesday night . Some house around should have openings other nights. They do one in Statesville nc one per month at night and sometimes over 40 people show up. $45.00 entry, 3 games cut the field in half and then three more games and pay out the money to the places that cash. Usually first is $375-$500. Of course all scratch. Just a suggestion.

Back in the day East Point had the best Sunday Doubles sweeper.It would fill the house and I would watch my Dad bowl in the 70's. In the 80's I bowled in it.You could go win money and you wouldnt have to average 240 to do it.Does anybody else remember this?

Sounds good, I'll give it a try. They were doing this at AMF Gwinnett before it closed down.A cut the field would be nice too. Go for it.

Oh yeah I remember the East Point sweeper. The 8 in a row pot would get over $1,000.00 quite often. Yes the house did fill up and everything was handicap. The money you could make from the tournament and the money you could make from Friday afternoon pot games would pay your rent and car payment for the month and still have money left over for some other things. The scores were high some weeks and some weeks they were horrible. You had to participate to make any cash just like you have to today. The more people that participate then the more places the tournaments can pay. Also, you could side bet 3 or four people and win from them but loose the pot and still come out ahead.
