Has the cost of living and the state of the economy changed your bowling habits? (gas prices, inflation, etc.)

I was just wondering, with the way things is with gas prices and all, do you bowl as much as you did say a year ago? I know for me personally i can feel that pinch. I have to plan a little more in advance now compared to in the past. Bowling equipment, tournaments, league bowling, and how much side action i get in are things i put more thought into. Chime in on how you see it.

to me it has not changed anything bout how much i bowl. I just do it but i make sure my bills are paid for first lol
For me bowling is like another bill! I gotta pay it! Sure it hurts the pocket a bit, especially with AMF houses ($4 plus per game) but to be the best sometimes you got to pay the price. It is getting to the point now that recreation bowling is more expensive then league bowling. You would think that would rise league members, but people got to get bit by the bowling bug before they commit to a bowling league. So in a since I think rising prices everywhere are hurting the sport of bowling.
Gas is the necessary evil. I would say I am bowling more today than last year. I did drop my card last year due to regionals costing too much for the family man. I am however bowling more "local" stuff. Anywhere between Atlanta and Greensboro, NC. Like a previous poster said, as long as the bills are paid and there is food on the table I will bowl.
No it hasnt. I just remembered I am not good enough. LOL
