Last sunday was fun. Tom Kelley's Pro Shop put on there 3rd annual Customer Appreciation Tournament. Every year so far Tyler Jensen has been able to have the latest equipment there to try before buying. Turbo grips and Switch Grips are used so that the bowler's that attend can get a chance to throw the latest equipment.
This year was no different, except joining Tyler Jensen this year was Doene Moos. I helped out with the bowling balls this year while Doene and Tyler were able to offer the See Your Game. The two of them would record your swing and approach on the lane and help you straighten things up and record you again, showing you the improvements. The data would be in there computer and then sent to you in a timely manner.
The bowling balls brought this year were the Nomad, Nomad Pearl, Virtual Energy and the newlly released Reign. All of the balls have about three different spans to choose from so that there is a good chance to get a close fit for your hand. All balls were a hit. I get a kick out of peoples response to the way the Nomads roll. And when they found out how much the response was even better. To get that kind of reaction out of the ball and smooth roll for a resonable price always seems to work well. The Virtual Energy and Reign turned heads. I believe due to the fact that the lanes were wood and had good backends. People seemed very pleased with all balls present.
If Tyler and or Doene are able to make to a bowling alley near you, don't miss out on your chance to stop by. It is a really good chance to try out really good equipment.
