Just something fun to talk about. I been hearing people say they are in the top 5 best bowlers in the state of georgia. Each person has their own opinions and everyone should feel like they are the best. So, I decided to ask you who do you think the top 10 bowlers of Georgia are male or female?

I would love to see this list. It would have to have several factors to the formula. I have bowled in only one league for the last four years and I am averaging 225 at Metro Lanes. I would hate to see what I would be averaging if I was still bowling in four or five leagues. Anyone that applies themselves can average 215 easy. What I am concerned about is that these ten or twenty top bowlers have on their resumes. Titles, and not just locally. Honor scores that are shot outside their local centers. I have titles and I have ok stats.( 31- 300 games and 12- 800 series) but I would not consider myself as one of the top bowlers now, but I'd like to think that I had an influence on some of the best bowlers now. Great discussion though Dominique.p.s i am the best in my own mind. Whatever a man thinketh a man will become.
In order to accuratly come up with this list you have to create a measurement to go off of, whether it be highest average with the most games bowled, most wins in a tournament, are you talking about all time or just present. There are alot of factors that have to be considered. My vote goes for Brian Voss, he is still a georgia native and no one in the state has done what he has, as far as career wise in tha game of bowling.

This is only an opinion, these are bowlers I have been around, bowled with, or heard alot about.Any of these bowlers could beat one another at any time so do not pay that much attention to the order. I am sure there are other bowlers that belong on a top ten list. But hey, this is mine, MAKE YOUR OWN.
This is a very difficult list to compile because everybody has there own criteria on how they judge bowlers. My criteria is based solely on these bowlers ability to bowl TODAY (not 10 years ago) my criteria also take into account accomplishments, titles, and accolades. There are also some bowlers on my list that made my list based on there ability to remain a elite level bowler and not bowl as much as they did in the past. I know i possibly left some bowlers off my list that some of you may feel should be on here.....this is just my personal feeling based off the many many bowlers i've watched in Georgia. This is my list and it is not in any particular order:
1. Brian Voss
2. Stoney Baker
3. Isom Hawes
4. Jason Sterner
5. Greg Black Jr.
6. Charles Jordan
7. Jake Washington
8. Jeff Shaw
9. Randy Russell
10. Kevin Jamison

Honorable mention: John Qualtrough, Ike Reese, Billy Rodhe, Ron Evans, Tony Harvey, and Joe German.
I think after last weekends PBA tour stop Brian Voss showed he is still the best in Georgia. The man still does work.
1. Brian Voss
2. Jason Sterner
3. Greg Black Jr.
4. Isom Hawes III
5. Charles Jordan II
6. Stoney Baker
7. Jake Washington
8. Derek Reynolds
9. Ken Taylor
10. Ron Evans
