The Professional Bowlers Association is offering fans a free 7-day trial of its Xtra Frame subscription streaming video service between now and March 9.
Xtra Frame offers live streaming of original programming and archived videos of ESPN telecasts in addition to final rounds of Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour events and exclusive player interviews. The multimedia service also includes the exclusive Pin Mapping feature during live scoring.
Subscribers of Xtra Frame, including those taking advantage of the free trial are going to be treated to the latest Xtra Frame Game, a fans' choice match that will air Wednesday, March 4 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
Log on to pba.com before Monday, March 2 to cast your vote for your favorite match-up. Bowling fans will determine the final pairing: Sean Rash vs. Rhino Page, Tommy Jones vs. Jason Couch, Patrick Allen vs. Mika Koivuniemi or Wes Malott vs. Chris Barnes.
On January 6 the first-ever “Xtra Frame Game” live streaming video match was carried on Xtra Frame.
Walter Ray Williams Jr. continued his domination over Pete Weber in televised matches using 10 out of a possible 12 strikes en route to a 257-199 exhibition victory. Over 50% of the 4,000 online voters chose the clash of two of the PBA’s greatest icons.
“In effect, this was bowling’s first pay-per-view match,” said PBA COO Tom Clark. “And the fans made a great choice. Who wouldn’t want to watch Walter Ray vs. PDW under any circumstance? Bowling fans now have a chance to pick another great match and then sit back and enjoy.”
The Don Johnson Buckeye State Eliminator Championship will feature enhanced live scoring with the Pin Mapping feature. The PBA will stream the Eliminator Rounds of 12 and 8 live on Saturday, March 7 beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.
