The 19th Annual Eric DeFreitas Scratch Classic presented by Storm capped off an incredible weekend of competitive bowling in the south. The weekend showcased the talent of over 200 bowlers that represented every state in the southern region. Our goal for this weekend was to give the bowling community a series of events that were fun and competitive. We also wanted those that participated to get an opportunity to fellowship and network, because this is what will strengthen the foundation of the bowling family on so many levels.

The weekend started with the McCorvey's Pro Shop Ladies and Seniors Scratch Eliminator. This event drew 76 bowlers, Joe German and Becky Sulligan won their perspective events. Then immediately after that event, the RBT host our 1st Annual Bowler's Appreciation Networking Expo which is a event that brought in some of the top brands in bowling, giving the bowling public a chance to meet, greet, and sample the products of these great companies. The participants had a great time and the networking forged new connections for vendors and the consumer. 
Then later that evening we hosted the Stability Strikes 4 Game Sweeper which drew 68 bowlers. Daniel Spink won that event. We also gave away Storm bowling balls and others prizes at every event, which was our way of showing gratitude for the support we receive from the bowling community.

The final event of the weekend was the Eric DeFreitas Scratch Classic which drew an impressive 145 bowlers. This was a one day tournament that paid $4000 for first and 31 individuals cashed. Aj Rice won that event.

The RBT Canton Scratch Marathon, July 7, 2013 has concluded and the winner is Kyle Hartzell of Snellville, Georgia. Kyle recently moved here to Ga from Pennsylvania making this his first RBT event. He introduced himself to southern bowling market in stellar fashion as he out bowled a stout field of 59 athletes on a tough grinding 41ft pattern over the course of 10 games. Kyle wins $1200.00 and the coveted RBT trophy for being our champion. Good bowling Kyle!! A special thank you to Stoney Baker and Cherokee Lanes for great service all day. Congrats to Josh Lewis of Asheville, NC for winning the 2nd Annual RBT Non-Champions Scratch at AMF Snellville Lanes on Sunday, June 2nd. Josh becomes the newest addition to the distinguished list of champions in the RBT annals. He defeated Dylan Woods in the title match with a clutch performance in the final frame winning 221-203. Josh win the title, the 1st place prize of $1200.00 and the coveted RBT trophy. Dylan takes home $600.00 for finishing runner-up. Both competitors displayed the skill and heart to win it all but in the end, Josh stand alone.

First of all we would like to thank all of the bowlers that came out and participated in the RBT 2nd Annual Plastic Ball Challenge.
Congratulations Jake Washington for winning this event, he defeated Kyle Troup in the championship match. Both bowlers performed exceptional during the seven games of qualifying to make it to the stair ladder finals.

A brief run down: Jeff defeated Aaron, then lost to Carl who lost to Jake who defeated Kyle in the championship match. All 5 bowlers performed well through out the day to arrive to this point.

Congratulations to Stoney Baker for winning the 4th Annual Something 4 the Seniors Scratch Tournament! He defeated Joseph Beck of Montgomery, AL and a tough field of 30 bowlers from across the South. Todays top qualifier was Jackie Driver at +121 for 5 games.
After qualifying 6th at +52, Stoney defeated Louie Manzella of Mt. Olive, AL and Joe Scarborough of Charlotte, NC in his quest for his first Seniors Title with the RBT. Last years champion Tony Churchey lost in the first round of match play to runner up Joe Beck.
