Starting Thursday May 17, 2012 at Citizens Lanes Bowling Alley we will be conducting a singles league. The format will be 4 games across 4 lanes against the same opponent, every night position night. The dues will be a rock bottom $20 for 15 weeks, and a $20 entry fee which will generate a $1000.00 first prize for the best bowler in Atlanta. Please let me know if you are definately interested, first come first served, 64 bowler limit (unless we get 96, you never know).

Please contact Ken Taylor @ 404-579-4669.

Out of curosity, what is the lane condition going to be like?

We're going to start with a typical house shot. Paul asked me if i wanted a Cheetah and I told him not now. When we had the league at Van Wyck Lanes in queens, tommy DeLutz told me "when you put down a sports shot the advantage goes to the PBA personnel. On a THS, anybody can win." We had some great shootouts, but the cream always rose to the top. I hope you're down with us.

Thanks for the insite Ken. I will ponder this over.

Not that I have anything against the house shot, yet it tends to lead to a carry contest. Yet at least possibly moving pairs will keep things interesting.

I happen to bowl at Citizen Lanes on Wednesday night and I pray it's not the "house shot" that they have laid out for that league.

See you soon.

I WILL GO TAKE A LOOK THE SHOT. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TOO EASY EITHER, NOR DO I WANT ANYTHING TOO DIFFICULT. I'LL DO SOME RESEARCH .

That's a good reference point for the league. Not too easy, nor too hard. Something playable, yet fair.

What will be easy to one person , may be difficult to another. No one want s to feel that they don't have a chance to compete.

If they feel they have no chance to compete, what's the point in participating?
