Things I have learned in 20 years of bowling.
1. Technology has changed, pins have changed, bowlers have changed, yet it seems diffcult to knock 10 pins down every single time.
2. Local tournaments are great when your starting out. Horrid when you are looking to travel.
3. Quote from a non bowling person "why do you carry so many balls?". Response Does Tiger Woods carry one club on the golf course?
4. League bowling success does not equal tournament success.
5. Does not matter how good you are even the best have a bad day.
I.E TOMMY JONES, WALTER RAY (8-10 SPLIT).
6. Bowling is the same as golf. It is 90 percent mental 5 percent technology and 5 percent luck.
7. Practice, Practice, Practice does not mean 5 extra minutes before league play.
8. Prize fund money is never going to pay the bills like many people think.
9. No matter how good you are there is always someone who can beat you at any given time.
10. If you can't laugh at yourself for going brooklyn on the 12th strike b/c you were neverous then you are not in the right sport. P.S you owe your team drinks....
