The stage is set and the NBA finals is now upon us. The two teams left are the Kobe LAKERS and D. Howard MAGIC.....everybody knows i am a serious LAKER HATER. My bet is definitely with the MAGIC, they have a well balanced team with too many weapons for the Lakers to handle. I also feel like the Lakers are too soft, Odom disappears from game to game, Gasol is soft, Fisher is old, Ariza is sporadic, Bynum is clumsy, and KOBE is greedy and still thinks he's MJ reincarnated.LOL!!!! I'm pulling for the MAGIC because Dwight Howard is a product of the SW Atlanta area and he's a young, competitive, dominant all- star that stepped up with his team when it mattered the most. They will prove all there doubters wrong just like they did against the Celtics and Cavs. Kobe is chasing the dream of winning a ring without SHAQ..... it not going to happen so give it up. Theo i know you probably have alot to say about my analogy.....it is what it is!!!! LOL!!!! If the LAKERS wins this series i'll give KOBE his props, but until then, he's just another MJ wannabe who cant get the job done no matter who they put him on team with. Holla at ya boy!!!!! ;)

Tim, have you seen my THREE CHAMPIONSHIP rings? LOL

Tell Lebron when he comes out of the locker room pouting, Kobe can show him how to win a championship :)

That's all I got to say.

btw reference me as the Black Mamba ;)
Wow Tim. I myself think the Magic win for the several reasons. 1) They are way to big for LA. with Howard, Lewis, and Turkoglu as starters. 2) They shoot the ball very well as a team, meaning all of them can shoot. 3) They will beat them with their defense. They are going to do the same thing they did to Cleveland which is make the supporting cast step and beat them. They let lebron get his all he wanted but no one else could get anything going because its hard to play 4 on 5. Thats what they will do against LA, Kobe will get his ofcourse but the rest of the Lakers will struggle. Im saying it will be a sweep but a win in 6 is very possible, maybe 5 if the Magic get hot and stay hot.
Theo.......Kobe has 3 rings true enough but look at who he was playing with when he won them. Look at who he's playing with now, not even close. Nick i agree, the Magic have a team full of shooters and not just shooters but clutch and not blink an eye shooters. They move the ball very well and they play good defense when i matters. The Lakers can't sleep walk in this series like they did against Denver because if they do they will wake up watching a Magic party. Go Orlando!!!!
I'm with Theo, you've got to be hungry D howard, I'm talking bout STOMACH GROWLING!! Lol!Even though Gasol is weak on defense, he cant be stopped on offense. The Lakers also have a deeper bench, and more experience in the finals. If you dont agree with that, then maybe you should check Kobe's three championship ring display case!! Lol! The Lakers have proven that they can adapt. I believe it will be a good series, but MY Lakers will be on top!
Just a small fact the Orlando Magic beat the Lakers twice in the regular season, i know i know its the regular season not the NBA finals but non the less Orlando is a tough matchup for alot of people including LA. I dont really see much difference in either of the teams benches, both have back ups for all positions. I would give edge to Orlando because Gortat has stepped up and played his roll when comes in for Howard, no one has stepped up for LA when Gasol goes out especially Bynum. Im pulling for Orlando but I think it will be a mistake if they try to let Nelson play in the finals, they are in a good groove without him and putting him with little practice could mess that up
First off I think bench play is a push.

Phil won't get out coached like mike brown did, even I could have coached how to stop orlando's pick and roll with turkalu.

Petrius will be a good matchup on Kobe. He is not as big as Bron Bron.

Gasol soft. If he go in with baby hooks and flip ins. Dwight is sending them to the stands.

I don't think Lakers can outshoot the Magic from 3 point land.

If Dwight Howard stays aggressive like he did in the last game and make his free throws its a wrap.

Magic uses the magic broom from Fantasia and sweeps the Lakers. Dwight will be singing the words of another former Magic center, "Kobe tell me how my a** taste, Kobe tell me how my a** taste. Lol
Martin, thats funny.......i forgot about that freestyle the Shaq-diesel did about Kobe. Like i said the Magic is well balanced and they play with heart. I did forget to acknowledge the X-factor of this series.......Phil "The Mastermind" Jackson. I do feel like coaching and adjustments will be the key to making the difference in this series. If Phil can figure out a way to tame the 3 point shots of Orlando and possibly get D Howard in early foul trouble in a couple of games then things could tilt more in the Lakers favor. This series is definitely going to be about coaching, adjustments, and match up. All i can say this is going to be a banging finals that should go down as one of the best ones in the last several years.
Once again, I am with the TALLER McNair brother, Lakers will take it in 5.
Its mighty quiet on this forum. Where did all the Magic fans go tonight? (crickets chirping...) lol

Tim, what 3 point shots??
Martin this is for you!

I will admit they got slaughtered. As I was telling somebody earlier in the week. I don't know if they can hit the shots they hit vs the cavs. They missed all kind of wide open shots that they hit vs cleveland, and dwight took like 8 shots. They say pressure busts pipes.
Hey hey fellaz, its just one game. yes the Magic got stomped in that first game. The Lakers were playing at home where they are very good and their defense took away the 3-ball by disrupting the passes on the perimeter which causes the shooters to rush there shots. The Magic coaching staff will come up a way to cure that problem. Jameer Nelson looked good when he got in there he will knock off the rust and be more of a factor in game 2. Howard need to be more aggressive offensively and put more pressure on the Lakers "D". I believe game two will set the tone for the rest of the series.......Magic do your thing!!!!
