The 7th annual RBT Super Bowl Eliminator was a great experience. We had a total of 62 men and women bowlers taking on the challenge of the Team USA Mexico City 45ft pattern and this exciting elimination format.
Once again this day was all about Isom Hawes III. With Jake Washington being the only person to have back to back wins on the RBT up to this point, Isom took on the challenge and conquered. Winning his 3rd RBT title and knocking off some stiff competition. As a side note, Isom is on track to also win his second $1000 RealBowler of the Year award which he won in 2006. There is still aways to go as this race ends in August, but he is definitely in the running.
Mike Williams bowled a 268 and Isom a 266 in the semi-final round of elimination to advance to the Championship Match against top bowlers Greg Black Jr. and Stoney Baker.
The championship match was Michael Williams vs. Isom Hawes. Isom defeated Mike in a very close and intense match, 200-194. Congrats Isom!!
The RBT would like to take this opportunity to thank all the bowlers and numerous spectators for making this a special and successful event. We appreciate the support and participation....stay tuned for more to come. The next stop is the Augusta Non Champions Open at AMF Masters Lanes.
