Today, Dec. 6, the RBT hosted it 2nd annual Something 4 the Ladies scratch singles tournament and at this time would like to thank everyone that came out and participated in anyway. In my estimation this was a successful event for the second year in a row as 33 ladies came out and participated. The field assembled this year was a very tough and competitive group of bowlers. The level of competition in my opinion surpassed that of last year.......with that said, congratulations to Atlanta bowler Tesa Dyson for emerging victorious in this event. Tesa bowled very well in qualifying and turned it on in match play to cap off a great day of bowling. Tesa took home $1000 and the coveted RBT trophy for her efforts. Finishing 2nd was Aesha Turner of Montgomery, AL....she performed brillantly as well. Aesha led the field from beginning to end finishing as top qualifier for the day. Last years champion Latonya Walker did her thing again as she was right in the mix finishing a strong 3rd place.
We are very appreciative to all of the ladies that came out and bowled.....we are also very thankful to those individuals that help put the word out to get bowlers to come. With a little more support and advertising we can possibly grow this into one of the top tournaments in the area.
The top 12 finishers cashed
1. Tesa Dyson $1000.00
2. Aesha Turner $500.00
3. Tonya Walker $300.00
