First off a special thanks to all of the bowlers that helped make this first year of the league a success. This was by far the most competitive league I have ever bowled in. Also, was the best payout I have seen in years.

Thanks to Bruce Richardson the owner of Metro Lanes and Games for his hospitality and support in making this one of if not the best paying league in the city. Thanks to Sandra Edmonds the Sec/Tres. for all of her hard work helping me keep everything organized. Thanks to Allison Wilkerson vice pres. for the inspiration to make this a possibility.

Congratulations to "U Gitz Nothing" (Greg Black Jr., Isom Hawes III, Monique Caldwell, and Chris Williams) for winning the second half of the season with a one game roll off against the defending champs from the first half "Lock it Up". (Charles Jordan II, Barry Doyle, Michelle Daniels and Myron Daniels) This was an exciting game as the rest of the league watched these two great teams battle it out for the $5000 (second half) first place. (this is a $10,000 first place league)

Congrats to Quiet Storm (Johnnie Jackson, Margaret Smith, Josh Brown and De'mon Green) for winning the $500 bonus money roll off!

My team did not finish as high as I would have liked but I loved the competition week in and week out against some of the best bowlers in the area. This league was one of the most talked about leagues in the city and I know it will continue to be in the coming years.

I am excited as we look ahead for next season as this league will help change the landscape of bowling here in the city of Atlanta. This is truly a Real League for Real Bowlers :) See everyone on August 20th for Pt. II.

lol... yeah, you're right! But actually... My team averaged about the same for the entire season. We all bowled basically where "we are" (still learning) ...But, we would sit in awe just watching some of the incredible scores that would get put up week-to-week by some of the bowlers in that league.

Sounds like you need some new teammates! We never said it would be easy. Even with your basketball analysis.. there is still some teams sitting at home watching the playoffs and all of them are pros.

This league has some outstanding bowlers. It would probably be a little more “balanced” if it were a “draft league” or something of that nature.

Sometimes it felt like I was playing for SW DeKalb High vs. Iverson, Kobe, LeBron, Ming, Wade, Chris Paul…well LOL…, I think you get the picture… :). But, it definitely was a blast, and I had fun. I also got to watch some great bowlers do their thing.
