Outlaw-Bandit Review

great one and two punch to have in your bag.Outlaw for me allows me to play on those medium lanes condtions ,play little more direct but dont doubt this ball it hooks quite a bit just to let you know.ive used this ball on tigher lanes condtions for myself. And now for the bandit great ball to go to after the use of the outlaw.bandit gives you more lenght with great strong backend reaction when needed to play more inside when lanes break down.or when outlaw starts to burn out.Bandit for me i can… Continue

Thomas "Bris" Brisbon

Today marks the passing to a gentelman that has been around bowling for a long time.

His first passion was golf and enjoyed it as much as he could. He took on bowling as a "substitute" to his golf and has helped all those that he felt that he could help.

"Bris" was my second father, my bowling coach and most of all one of my best friends.

There will be no one like "Bris".

I will miss him dearly.

Virtual Gravity Nano Review

The new Storm release Virtual Gravity Nano will be the ball everyone will want in there bag no matter where they are bowling or bowling on. The NANO has a very strong Asymmetric core same core from the virtual gravity and a box finish of 4000 abralon. When i drilled this ball i couldnt belive how much this ball hooks in oil.It looked like a ball with non stopping power down the lane and backend motion. This ball does what it was designed for hook and tons of it.so for bowlers out there looking… Continue

Victory Road Review

The Victory Road is the newest addition to Storm's Thunder Line. The new design Fe 3 core allows for a variety of layouts. The R2s pearl cover is a great match for this core and its ability to handle a wide variety of lane conditions for all types of bowlers. This balls allows me to created great lenght threw those burnt out heads but retains so much energy down lane for a strong motion down lane.this ball reminds me of a stronger t-road pearl so dont wait drill one today and see what im talking… Continue

Infinite Theroy Review

Infinite Theory gives me a reaction in my bag like no other. The infinity theory i drilled allows me to clean the front part of the lane really well for a highend asymetrical ball i my bag with nice controoled backend reaction, nothing to over under. Also with great coverstock they put on this ball the insight hybrid reactive coverstock allows me to also read midlane recation better.Cover stock in very east to alter if need be.choice of colour great on this ball.

Roto Grip Infinite Theory Review by Ricky Woods

Roto Grip Infinite Theory

When I received my new Infinite Theory, I went and threw it on Kegel's Route 66 pattern. Box finish for me really cleared the fronts extremely well with a STRONG move toward the pocket. But for me box finish was a little too shiny. So I took it down with a 4000 pad just knocking the shine off a little. Big improvement but still not enough for me. So I took a 2000 pad and went over it and that was perfect. The ball still cleared the fronts with ease and read… Continue

Roto Grip Rising Star Review by Ricky Woods

Roto Grip Rising Star

Where to begin? WOW!!! I took this ball along with the Riot and Dark Star and bowled on a 39' house shot. The Riot was great as always with a smooth strong arc to the pocket. The Dark Star was long and angular to the pocket. The Rising Star was AWESOME!!!! It gave me the best of everything. Super clean through the fronts and a snapping backend movement. I also threw this ball on Kegel's Route 66 pattern after I had broken the pattern down with my Infinite Theory… Continue

Nomad Dagger Review

Y throw anything else when you can throw a dagger. The new midline release the nomad dagger is a great ball between the other 2 nomads in the line up,same core but just hybrid coverstock. With the new hybrid coverstock this ball cleans the fronts and the midlan so clean then any other ball and down lane real strong motion not like skid flip more like skid but super strong are.Drilled mine 5x5 and i love this ball.I love the sold and pearl but this fits great in my bag,one of my go to bals now for… Continue

Theory Review

Theory is probably strongest ball ive thrown from the roto line. This ball allows me to play on those longer and tighter tuffer patterns.Need to open the lane up no problem this ball will do that for you.More the miss the better it is cause you will want to miss with this ball thats how much it hooks.Ive drilled 2.Have one with box finish and the other shined up to 1500 with storm extra shine.Have one drilled 4x4 and 5x3.Have to say this ball will work for every bowler out there even if its… Continue

Theory ball review by Ricky Woods

Well I took this ball out to bowl with it on a beefed up house shot. I first threw my Mutant Cell box finish which was plenty strong. So now to the Theory, I line up with the Theroy box finish as I did with the Mutant and the first shot went four pin high. Thinking I might have just been a little slow, I threw it again with the same results. So I made a 3 and 2 move left and it was still too strong. So I moved another 3 and 2 and this ball was cleaner through the fronts but strong and…

Nomad Dagger ball review by Ricky Woods

WOW!!!! enough said. When I first heard of the release of this ball, I really got excited. I've watched several of my friends throwing the Hy-Road and I really liked the reaction of it. I got mine and bowled on a 39' house shot. I started with the ball factory finish and was playing up the gutter with medium speed. The ball just floated through the fronts with a STRONG ANGULAR backend movement. As the outside started drying out, I just kept on moving left and the ball never started hooking… Continue

Nomad Dagger Review

I drilled this ball with the pin and cg stacked under my ring finger with no extra hole. The pin on this ball was approx 3" which put the Cg just above my thumb. To compensate for the additional thumb weight this created, I drilled the fingers deeper to get the thumb weight to zero.

I used this layout to give me a skid/flip reaction for use on shorter oil patterns and on house shots as they break down. My Theory is drilled in a similar manner. Recently in league, my Theory was too…

Roto Grip Dagger Ball Reivew

The Nomad Dagger is a great addition to the Nomad family. The Dagger has a hybrid cover stock. This cover stock change allows the Dagger to be cleaner

and longer through the fronts with a more angular move off the friction down

lane than the Nomad solid. For me,

this is the best of the Sword line.…

Theory Ball Review

I drilled the Theory using a 4 1/2", 75 degree pin/pap layout, MB 4 1/2" from pap, pin below my ringer finger, small rev leverage hole 2 1/2" below my pap on VAL.
On a PBA experience league Shark pattern (44'), the Theory revved up nicely in the mid-lane and had a strong, controlled move off the break point, with strong roll through the pins. On a PBA experience league Scorpion (41') pattern, the Theory showed the same…

Figuring it All Out

I've been struggling lately with the fundamentals. One would think after 11 years of bowling, I'd be way beyond the 150-160's range in average. As I sat here at work this morning, it dawned on me...there are several things that keep me from reaching my goal of bowling my best during each and every game.

The first thing is focus. When I am on the approach, it is me, my ball, and my pins. Nothing else matters. Not what I want to eat, not what is going on behind me, not what happened… Continue
